Description
Jack’s Bourbon Cooled Sumatran beans were carefully chosen for depth of flavor and smooth touch. They are roasted to perfection, then cooled in a special way: with bourbon.
The speed at which coffee beans cool impacts the sweet notes in your drinking experience. A faster cooling cycle improves the natural notes of caramel and vanilla. Some street roasters in Vietnam use vodka as part of their roasting cycle, but bourbon seemed like a better fit for the bean Mr. Spirko enjoys.
Each batch is personally roasted by Nicole Sauce. The moment the roast is complete, the beans go into a cooling vessel and the temperature is gradually decreased with the alcohol. Too fast and sucrose escapes; too slowly and the coffee lacks complexity.
